How to Easily Remove Broken Egg Shells From a Bowl (Video Tutorial)
There is nothing more frustrating than trying to remove broken egg shell pieces from a bowl with your finger or a spoon.
It seems like no matter how close you become to getting it out, it always manages to literally slip away from you. Before you know it, you’ve spent an absurd amount of time trying to get the egg shell out.
And when you have a hangry (yes, with an “a”) four year old at your feet, there is no time for chasing around a egg shell pieces from the bowl. Or maybe you’re hangry too which elevates the problem drastically (at least I know it does for me).
Luckily, I have an awesome quick tip for you that is going to revolutionize the way you pick up broken egg shells and you’ll be able to navigate those damn pieces without a worry in the world.
If you don’t have time for the movie or would rather read text here is how you do it:
Take a half of your broken egg shell and literally scoop the piece in the bowl with the egg shell. The little piece acts like a magnet to the bigger piece of egg shell and attaches without no fuss and frustration.
Easy, right?
Make sure you share this tip with someone you know so we can all be egg-shell-frustration-free… because ain’t nobody got time for that!

Seriously easy! Thx for sharing!

Love it!! I would never have thought of this. Usually, it’s a piece of paper towel which can work but also, not so much!
THIS tip is simple and apparently the way I will fish out egg shell next time!! Thanks Loriel!
Oh yes, a paper towel sounds not so fun. I’m happy this could help!
So simple! We just made an angel food cake and could have used this advice over the weekend. Next time I’ll know!
I love this trick! So easy + simple!
love this tip, have to teach my 11yo, he likes to make his own omelettes on the weekends.
Great idea! I have 6 and 4 year olds that insist on doing the egg cracking now and they are still working on not getting the shell in there! thank you!
Oh, this trick would totally be easy for your kiddos to do.
That’s how we do it too, after years of chasing it with my fingers! Thanks for sharing and I loved the cameo by the chickens! 🙂
Very clever! Who knew that the egg itself was the key to fishing them out!
