Empowered Moms (& Dads!), Healthy Kids
My friends, on March 25, 2013, the day the world marched against Monsanto, the momentum really started to build and a snowball effect came into place.
I think it was a wake up call to many, many people! Although we may not have gotten the media coverage like we wanted (but what did we expect, really?) I think it really woke a lot more people up. Don’t you?
The momentum is definitely not over! This Independence day Mom’s all Across America will be marching against GMO’s.
This nationwide event was created to empower mother’s to make better food choices for themselves and for their families. Mothers buy 85% of the food in households so if anyone were to make a change, it would start with us.
Mothers are Super Humans
Yes, you heard me, super humans! Go on girl, bask in that title for a minute.
Mom’s are definitely a force not to be reckoned with. It in engrained in every cell of our bodies to have our children’s best interest at heart. If our children are hurt in any way, shape or form, we snap into “Mama-Bear” mode.
It is up to us to change the future so our children can live in a time where they have access to clean water, clean air and clean food. More and more there are studies revealing that GMO’s are having a negative impact on our bodies… especially our children.
Dads are just as important in this whole, clean food journey so make sure you’ve got dad to participate as well!
So what are you going to do about!? March against GMO’s this Fourth of July!
Find An Event Near You
I’m not sure if I will be able to make this event (although I’m really hoping I will) because we will be traveling across the country. However, you can bet your buns that I’ve found locations along our way that we may be able to stop for a couple hours and be a part of the march. My husband doesn’t know this yet but hey, we’re on vacation and we can do whatever we want, right? Plus, how cool would it be to take part in an event that is in a completely random city!?
If you’ve never been to a march before, I would say, go to this one. All of them are pretty family oriented but this particular march is centered around “Empowered Moms, Healthy Kids.”
